“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”
Romans 8:26-27
Do you ever feel “stuck” in your prayer life? Maybe you have a burden on your heart, but just can’t find the words to express to the Lord what you want to say. Or maybe you are confused and conflicted and do not know what it is you need to say to God. Or, maybe your heart is full of praise for the Lord, but your words do not seem adequate.
We all struggle from time to time, but we have a helper in the Holy Spirit that comes to us, searches our hearts, and translates what is on our hearts to God the Father. The Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf and communicates to the Father in a language beyond our comprehension. The Father then hears our prayers and responds according to His perfect will for us.
So when our hearts and minds are full, but the words fail us, know for sure that God still hears and understands. The Holy Spirit is speaking for us to the Almighty God who loves us dearly. God’s answers will always be perfect and right and bring us blessings.
