“Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come…”

Ecclesiastes 12:1

It is back to school time in many places. Children and families are gearing up to return to school routines. Teachers are preparing for classrooms of new students. It is a busy time of  the year for everyone involved in the education of our young people.

We all want the younger generation to receive the very best education possible, so let’s start by giving them the very best foundation possible. As our children begin a new school year, it is important that they know that Jesus (their Creator) goes with them.

Knowing that He is lovingly watching over them can give security, confidence and peace as they begin new grades and new activities.

While they are young, let’s make sure they know that Jesus loves them and that they are very special to Him. Let’s make sure they know that Jesus is a friend that they can always count on, a friend that will never leave them.

Let’s make sure they know that He listens when they talk (pray) to Him and that He cares about their problems and concerns. Let’s make sure they know that Jesus loved them so much that He died for them. Let’s make sure “before the days of trouble come”  each child remembers that they have a loving Creator that will  walk through life with them.

Let’s make sure we give them a solid foundation in which to grow, not only in knowledge, but also in faith.
