“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
This verse from Zephaniah is such a blessed word. It reminds us as God’s children that He is always with us to protect us. As His beloved children, God finds joy in us. If we are weary or upset His love soothes us! He brings peace to our troubled lives. God will even sing over us, as a parent would tenderly hum to their precious child.
If you have ever felt alone, hurt, afraid or lost take time to read Zephaniah 3:17 and meditate on its words. Although it was originally spoken to the Israelites to give them hope and comfort, God is still speaking through it today. As God’s children today, we can claim this same promise of being surrounded and protected by a Mighty God. We can enjoy His presence in our lives and experience the peace that He brings. We can feel safe knowing that God ’s love surrounds us and covers us.
What a blessing it is to be a child of this loving Father-God!
