“I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palm of my hands;”
Isaiah 49:15b-16a
In these verses from Isaiah we find a wonderful promise from our God. Although it was directed to the Israelites, we too can find joy and comfort in knowing that God will never forget any of His children and that includes you and me! Others may forget us, reject us or ignore us, but the Mighty God has promised that He will never forget us!
More than that, God carries us with Him in the palm of His hands. He protects, nurtures, and loves us endlessly. Many people have words, symbols, and etc. tattooed on their bodies. These are permanent reminders of something important to them. God says He has “engraved “ us on the palms of His hands. We are that important to God!
When we read these verses we can be reminded that God values us, He loves us and He will forever be with us. He holds a permanent reminder of us on the palm of His hand!
