Happy New Year and welcome 2026!!
These prophetic words of Isaiah told the people of old (and remind us) of the reason for Jesus’ coming. God sent Him to preach, heal and save. Jesus went about doing just that. He healed people of their diseases and infirmities. He showed compassion to hurting people. He taught about God’s love and He set all people free from the darkness of sin by His own death on the cross.
Hallelujah! What a wonderful Savior!
Many years later as Jesus spoke His last words to His disciples, He commissioned them to do the same — “Go into all the world and preach good news to all creation.” He gave them power in His name to heal the sick, to drive out demons and speak in tongues. (See Mark 16:15-19)
As this new year unfolds, wherever the world takes us, may we remember that we too are called to share the good news. In Jesus name we can pray for the sick, the lost and the dying. We can be a friend to the broken hearted and we can tell those bound in sin about the freedom they can have in Christ Jesus.
What a great year 2026 will be when we all go in Jesus name!!
