“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
2 Corinthians 9:15
Christmas Day has come and gone. Celebrations and gatherings with family and friends have been enjoyed. Gifts have been given and received. Carols have been sung and pageants and programs have been presented. Soon, there will be no twinkling lights or brightly colored decorations. Christmas trees and all that go with them will be packed away until next year.
As the beauty and joy of the Christmas season begins to fade in our memory, we can know that the true gift of Christmas will never leave us. Jesus was and is that “indescribable gift” that God gave us, and we can celebrate that everyday throughout the year!
Jesus brings to us redemption from our sins and a love that can change any heart. He can put broken lives back together and set us on a new path. His gift is free to anyone that will accept it.
Truly we too should say, “thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.”
