In just a few more days we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus. But, in reality , we should be celebrating everyday. Jesus had perfection in heaven — peace, joy, eternal life with the Father, riches beyond our imagination and more. But He gave all that up to come to earth as a baby and to provide salvation for every person that has ever been born on earth.
Even though we will celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25, that is only the beginning. His birth, entrance into humanity and eventually His death and resurrection was God’s gift to us. That gift gives us salvation, hope, joy, peace and assurance of eternal life with the One that gave up His life that we may be saved from our sins and have eternal life with Him.
What a gift! What a sacrifice! What love!
