“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” - which means “God with us.”

This Sunday begins the Advent season. A time when we prepare our hearts to once again celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As we recall these words from Matthew, let us also remember that God is still with us through Jesus. He walks with us daily to guide and protect. His love surrounds us to bless and provide and His salvation flows freely to save us from sin.
Let us rejoice in knowing that “Immanuel — God with us” was born for us too!
