Spring has arrived! Most of us look forward to the warmer days and sunshine. We stay outside more, we plant gardens, we watch as flowers begin to bloom and we see baby animals being born. After the cold winter with bare trees and brown grass, we welcome the changes that spring brings. Spring is a season of renewal and new life!
Just as spring brings a promise of renewal to the earth, Jesus promises to bring renewal to our hearts when we turn to Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that when we are in Christ we are a new creation. David the psalmist asked God to renew his spirit and give him a pure heart, when he repented from his sins. (Psalm 51:10) God promises to clean, renew and give us a new heart when we turn to Him. (Ezekiel 36:25-26)
Jesus’ love and salvation can change everything! If you have been living in the cold, dark winter of sin, decide today to let the warmth of Jesus into your life. Repent of your sins, ask for forgiveness and let Jesus begin to “make all things new”. He has a beautiful life for each of us, we just need to accept His salvation and claim it.
