Happy Veterans Day to all that have served, are serving or will serve our country in the military. It is a great calling that takes commitment, courage and discipline. Thank you one and all for your service that has helped make America the great country that it is today.
Soldiers go into battle knowing that they could lose their lives, but yet they do it anyway for the good of others. They have to put aside their fear and focus on the mission ahead and sadly sometimes they do make the ultimate sacrifice.
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us when He took our sins upon Himself and died on the cross. He did it out of sheer love for us and everyone else in the world. Jesus put aside His power and majesty and made Himself submissive unto death. Then He conquered death by rising to life again to show us the way to eternal life.
Surely there is no greater love than this. Jesus’ compassion and love goes beyond any human comprehension, but thanks be to God He loves us this much!
